Attorney Stacy Ehrisman is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Federal Courts of Appeals, has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2010, and speaks Spanish and Japanese. I became an immigration attorney because I believe every person deserves to be seen, heard and protected: to give a voice to the voiceless and to be there when the system fails and a family is about to be torn apart. I founded The Ehrisman Law Firm, P.C. to fight for those whose lives hang in the balance, with a practice rooted in truth, justice, empathy and relentless advocacy. Every case is personal. Every client matters.
Licensed since 2009, I have practiced before 19 immigration courts and 12 USCIS field offices across the country, with extensive hands-on experience in deportation defense, family petitions, waivers and humanitarian relief. My professional path took me from my native Iowa to Georgia, Tennessee, New York and Madrid — a journey that shaped the purpose-driven firm I lead today.
Outside my legal practice, I serve my community through the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL), the board of St. Nick’s Kids, and the Advocacy Committee of the ELCA Southeastern Synod — and each week I host the live, Spanish-language show Tus Derechos.

Do I need legal status to consult with you?
No. We help people in every kind of immigration situation, and everything you tell us is confidential. Our job is to find the best legal path available for you and your family.
Do you serve clients in Spanish?
Yes — our entire team is 100% bilingual. From the first call to the final hearing, you can communicate with us entirely in Spanish.
Do you offer virtual consultations?
Yes, we offer both virtual consultations and in-person meetings at our Lawrenceville office. You choose whichever is most convenient for you.
What is SIJS and who qualifies?
Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS) protects young people under 21 who have suffered abuse, neglect or abandonment by one or both parents. It’s one of our areas of greatest experience — contact us to evaluate your case.
Are you notarios?
No — and this is important: we are licensed attorneys with the State Bar of Georgia. In the United States, a “notario” cannot give legal immigration advice. You can verify Attorney Stacy Ehrisman’s license at gabar.org.
What should I bring to my first consultation?
Any immigration documents you have: passports, notices from USCIS or the court, prior applications, and any criminal record. If you don’t have documents, come anyway — we start from wherever you are.
